What we do
SNFAD will provide a wide range of services for groups that support families and carers whose lives have been affected by a family member, friend or partner who uses drugs or alcohol.
These services include:- - Access to up-to-date information
- Quarterly Newsletter
- Access to appropriate training
- Support to establish local projects
- Collection and dissemination of information on all matters affecting groups that support families of substance users.
- Support with funding applications
- Any other relevant information
National Helpline The National Helpline is going through a transitional period at present and will only be open from Monday – Friday 9am – 4pm. The Board of Management plan to develop this service in the near future. In the meantime you can call the Scottish Government's drug misuse information service, Know The Score on 0800 587 587 9 outwith the above times. SNFAD is a membership organisation. Membership applications are welcome from anyone who has direct contact with or an interest in the area of substance misuse.
Membership categories are as follows:- - Individual Membership (family member)
- Full Membership (family support groups)
- Individual Associate Membership (workers)
- Associate Membership (organisations)
